Helen Jackson (Director, Dietitian and Diabetes Educator)
Helen is a practising dietitian accredited with the Dietitian Association of Australia and a qualified diabetes educator. She has a passion for helping people of all ages to achieve healthy, realistic dietary goals for general health and well-being and believes that healthy eating can also include eating foods you love. Helen has an interest in diabetes, maternal health, and childhood nutrition, and as a mother of three young children she is very aware of the challenges involved in implementing early childhood healthy eating habits. In a culturally sensitive environment, Helen encourages people to be involved in personalising their meal plans to suit their individual lifestyle.
Rachael Wepener (Dietitian)
Rachael is a practising dietitian, accredited with the Dietitian Association of Australia. Rachael loves food and believes it an integrated part of our health and happiness. She has a passion for teaching the simplicity of healthy eating and equipping individuals to make achievable and consistent dietary changes to their lives. She is committed to patient care and evidence-based strategies to establish a healthy relationship with food, and optimise nutritional health. Rachael has an interest in diabetes prevention and management, nutrition through the life stages including maternal and childhood nutrition, food intolerances and weight management. In her free time, she enjoys seeing friends and scouting out new coffee places, baking, knitting and taking her dog for a run.
Michelle Allen (Dietitian)
Michelle is a practicing dietitian and is accredited with the Dietitian Association of Australia. Michelle is passionate about the importance of good food and nutrition in order to nurture, nourish and care for ourselves both physically and mentally. She has a strong desire to make a difference in people’s lives and to use her knowledge of nutrition and its impact on health to empower people to make positive lifestyle changes. Michelle is particularly interested in the areas of chronic disease, mindful eating and diabetes prevention and intervention. The decision to become a dietitian was due to her love of good food, keen interest in health and nutrition and wanting to strive to become as educated in this area as possible in order to make a positive impact on individual lives as well as the wider community. In her spare time, Michelle loves to experiment with new cooking recipes, watch old movies on rainy days, go hiking, read, practice photography and swing dance.
Lauren Saurbrey (Dietitian)
Lauren is a practicing dietitian and is accredited with the Dietitian Association of Australia. She is passionate about providing education in nutrition for all ages in a holistic manner. She strongly believes eating is not only a part of our physical health but is extended to our emotional, social and cultural well-being also and aims to help individuals nurture their relationships with food. Lauren has a keen interest in chronic disease management, diabetes management, mindful eating and food intolerances. Lauren enjoys playing social netball, going for long walks and spending quality time with friends and family.
